Its easy to get viewers when you feed directly into people's misplaced hate and vitriol. Populist dictators have been doing it for decades. Why take responsibility for your own problems when you have talking heads telling you your situation isn't your fault but is instead the fault of some "other" group. Fox News has been doing this a lot harder and longer than MSNBC. MSNBC was way late to the game and still doesn't do it nearly as hard as Fox(or have nearly the uneducated audience that is most susceptible to this kind of talk and manipulation).

Which is true, but remember black people are only somewhere around 15% of the US population which is the group that is most likely to identify with Sharpton's brand of hate and vitriol. He's more hateful but his target group that buys his brand of hate is much smaller than the target group that buys the Fox brand of hate.
I don't think Sharpton is even that popular with blacks

Americans fear EVERYTHING. They feared Russia during the cold war. Now fear China is going to take us over. Fear someone will break into their house so they stock up on guns and an alarm system. Fear a tornado will kill them so they get a tornado shelter and a safe room. They fear dying so they take multivitamins
Fox plays to this fear. Everything they air appeals to it. No surprise.

I watch Faux News like most people watch Comedy Central - shit is straight for laughs. The full retarded that comes out of those idiots on that channel keeps me laughing for days. I am part of those numbers.

Right Wing, Conservative Republicans are being exposed for the vindictive, hate mongering party they have become by letting Rush "Wind-Bag" Limbaugh, "Big Lips" Glenn Beck, "Gay Looking, Pretty Boy" Sean Hannity and "Sex Starved" Bill O'Reilly become the leading strident voices of the Republican Party.
The party of the Righteous Right is grumpily hobbling under the massive corrosive bombastic discourse of these "Professional Sling-ers of HATE".
The Republican Party, if it had a shred of decency left, should immediately distant itself from these loud mouth, grossly over paid Agents of Hollering Hate and take a "Chill Pill." The Republican Party is being stained hourly by its association with these Hate Mongering Voices of Anti-American Propaganda and they must stop these verbal con artists from usurping the Conservative arm of the party.
There was a time, in the not to distant past, when I was a member of the Republican party and believed that President Reagan understood Democrats and Republicans alike and strove toward exploring possible common ground so that, together, we could guide America through "troubled water". Reagan was not full of hate, pomposity or bellicose like today's Republicans party spokespersons. He was likable, forgiving, fatherly, instructive, with a sense of leadership that evoked confidence in Americans.
As the dreaded Alzheimer disease began to take its toll on the 40th President in his second term, (according to first hand observations by his son, Ron), party professionals began to assert themselves more into the decision making process. Slowly, almost imperceptibly they turn the party toward what it has become now, nearly 30 years later, the Party of Hate, Intolerance, Fear, Corruption and Hypocrites.
It did not happen over night; it took 8 years of toe to toe combat during the Clinton years; another 12 years of Texas Oilmen millionaires under both President Bushes to permanently turn the Party of Lincoln into the toxic pool of hypocrisy and hate that it has become. Today, John Boehner, the Speaker of House, is facing new allegations that he had sexual relationships with a number of Republican female operatives and that he received $32 million dollars from lobbyists to buy the votes of his fellow Republicans on key legislation.
Rush Limbaugh, (the admitted Oxycontin addict), Glenn Beck, (the admitted drug addict), Bill OReilly, (the aledged sex addict) have become the face and voice of the Conservative Right Wing of the Republican Party and they are embarrassing the nation daily with their unfounded, hate filled rants and unpatriotic charges against a setting President.
America is at war, "A War of Terror," and it is unseemly, unpatriotic and unAmerican for these Journalism Jackals to ferment unrest by falsely accusing the Commander of Chief of the United State of America, in a time of military crisis, of being a secret socialist, working stealthy, to convert America into a Socialistic State, in violation of its Constitution, as Rush Limbaugh has done repeatedly on the public airwaves.
It is unAmerican of Glenn Beck to call the President of the United State a "Racist who hates White people" in an unsupported accusation designed to ferment domestic unrest and distrust during a time of war.
It is unseemly and unpatriotic to accuse the President of the United States of being a Secret "Closet" Muslim that is "plotting" to convert America into a Muslim country where Sharia Law will prevail, in the midst of armed battles with our enemies and without any concrete evidence.
These are unpatriotic, unAmerican, unfounded, deliberately concocted "lies" crafted to destablized the government and these intellectual cripples and fraudsters should be charged for what they are: TRAITORS.
They should be "BROUGHT UP ON CHARGES of treason, aiding and abetting the enemies of the United States of America", AND, IF FOUND GUILTY, THE FULL MEASURE OF THE LAW SHOULD BE CARRIED OUT! (Kaboom! bang, done for good. No regrets, white trash!)

Fox News is the most watched news channel because they are the only ones who give it to you straight and present both sides of the argument. You simply can't get a fair interpretation of the news from MSNBC bc it is nothing but liberal socialists spewing their retarded pipe dream views.

The Daily Show is definitely geared more towards a Liberal audience, but their is no way on Earth that The Daily Show, or any other show for that matter, can possibly be more biased then the garbage spewed out at Fox. Jon Stewart will pick on Democrats as well. Yes he attacks Republicans more, but it's not that he's totally biased, it's that the Republicans are complete lunatics and create so much more comedic material based on their words, actions, and contradictions.
It's the same crap they say about Bill Maher, but yet every week he has on atleast one Republican, even the likes of the poster child for Right Wing extremism, Ann Coulter and former RNC head Herman Cain. But yet he's blindly against Republicans? No, he's a comedian and 90% of comedic material is supplied my Republicans these days. It's not brain surgery.
Besides, it doesn't matter what show is "better", I was just asking about the ratings. The two are by no means mutually exclusive. The best shows on TV never get the best ratings. Go look at the top 10 ratings. It's pretty much crap like American Idol. You wont ever find Mad Men or other great shows in a top 10.
This isn't true. I enjoy the daily show and the colbert report, but no serious individual should take those shows seriously as news outlets. But a lot of liberals do. As for how biased they are... I'd they 95% of their jokes are directed at republicans/conservatives. It isn't really close...
