Are you Addicted? How much would you take to stop Gambling forever?

Someone posted this before.....but would you ever take a big amount of money but in return could never gamble (everything including sports betting, casinos, etc) again in your life? Say 100 grand? How about 500 grand? 1 million? 5 million?

Honestly I have no idea if I would ever take a certain amount of money.....I mean maybe like 5 million, but that's how you know if you are addicted to this shit......

We all chase this dream of being rich and successful betting, but it's obviously more than that if you won't take a Lump sum up front that is almost definitely more than you will ever win betting in your life time.

So what would be your figure?

well-invested, $500,000 would do a lot over a life time for a kid in his mid 20's. Couldn't turn that down. I'd probably replace gambling with sex.

Deuce I haven't bet much in the last week either and can easily not bet in any given day.....but I still love playing poker here and there, fukking around with friends betting dumb things at the bar, obviously sports betting, going to casinos and Vegas, etc

    All never again......would be tough

I have been at it for longer than I can remember and with a good degree of success for the last 10-12 years after I employed some good money management. Not getting rich but definitely a good supplement to my regular income.

This shit is no fun and has not been for years. No rush, not interested in watching any game I invest in, no feeling whatsoever. My fukkin real job is more interesting than this.

If someone gave me a grand a month to pad by income I would run, not walk away from this grind. To do it right is so time consuming and boring sometimes I think I would be better of without it.

    Who fukkin knows.

If your a compulsive gambler no amount can cure addiction

Heroin addicts would love to find something that guarantees never going back

An addict could get 10 million not to do every again and he would blow his chance within 1 month

To the poster who mentioned we don't know what the dollar will be like in 15 years I definitely agree. There is so much uncertainty and lack of trust nowadays who knows where this world is headed.

I once played blackjack while some rich foreign movie star was at the same table playing just $10 a hand. Some people were coming over and asking for an autograph, but one only asked why he was playing at a low limit table since he was a millionaire. His reply was that he just likes to gamble for fun and that he already had more than enough money for his children and future grandchildren to live off of.

guys if you are a compulsive gambler, which I am one, whatever money you win or have really isn't yours. You will try to win more and lose it all.

my point is i would get sick of doing other things all the time. i feel like i have a good balance and rarely bet in summer aside from the occasional baseball or mls bet. i have other interests but nothing takes up nearly the amount of time gambling does in my life, whether it be this or playing poker. i could travel and go to different places and such, but i would need action eventually.

Anyone who feels like the quote I just wrote above will NEVER EVER GIVE UP GAMBLING.
