    Anyone tried this?

    For example, betting only on the Heat, then double up when you lose?

    There is no holy grail.

    The Heat lost 7 straight ATS twice last year.
    The also lost 5 straight SU and when you are dealing with MLs of -500 and -600 that can get very expensive, very quickly.

    There are no winning Martingale strategies period. I must admit that sometimes I make some weird progressive bets and they pay off. Its like the roulette table though, the odds of losing a certain amount of bets are going to happen sooner or later.     Take teams that have had a tougher SOS and are not overpriced i.e. not laying heavy chalk....you can find some gems there especially in college games.

    I thought about the Martingale for one team in baseball but every year even the eventual world champs lose 5+ or so games in a row at some point. When you consider those expensive ML's and all the chasers come out of the wood works it doesn't work.

    I've thought about waiting for a good baseball team to lose 4 or 5 in a row and then start chasing them to win...But I always talk myself out of it..High juice and if the bums can lose 5 in a row, what's stopping them from losing 8-10 in a row.
