Five of their last eight wins have come against the NFC West and the fact that David Akers set the record for FG’s in a season isn’t a good thing for an offense because it also means Alex Smith set the record for choking in the red zone. I’m sorry but given that the Saints seem to roll out of bed and already have 24 points on the board, I have trouble seeing Akers kicking 11 FG’s to win this one. Oh and by the way, Alex Smith was so bad that Akers not only shattered the record for FG’s in a season but was three kicks away from setting the record for most kicks ever in California - which was set in 2002 by the LAPD against Rodney King.
