NFL Playoffs - Upset Alert??? or Do all home teams win again? Get in here SHARPS

I was thinking back on years past and we hardly ever see a #1 vs #2 matchup in both the AFC and NFC Championships. IF It happened this year ofcourse the matchups would be:

    49ers @ Packers

    Ravens @ Patriots

I don't see those matchup's happening this year either fellas. It could happen but usually there is an upset somewhere along the way. Sure the Steelers getting beat the Broncos was an upset , but I don't think anyone had the Steelers penciled in for the Super Bowl this year...

Does anyone else think the playoffs could get a little crazy this weekend with some unpredictable upsets to shake up the super bowl picture????

who is your upset pick for the weekend??

I think the 49ers can beat the Saints, even though they are the higher seed the 49ers are dogs. An extra week of rest, Saints aren't as good outside on grass, and that 49er team won't like being dogs, I kinda like the points there. Giants have a shot to beat the Packers too, though GB is getting healthier now. Giants might be the hottest team in the league right now. If I had to pick one it would be 49ers.

only favorite i feel definitely wins is the Ravens. I can't see TJ Yates pulling off a road playoff win.

Gave you a shout out in today's blog

I have trouble seeing Akers kicking 11 FG’s to win this one. Oh and by the way, Alex Smith was so bad that Akers not only shattered the record for FG’s in a season but was three kicks away from setting the record for most kicks ever in California - which was set in 2002 by the LAPD against Rodney King.

I see them winning by 10, Houston will be down by 10 with about 6 minutes left in the 4th and they will have to put together a drive and will turn the ball over and Baltimore will kill as much clock as possible and end the game. Baltimore by 10.

I think Ravens - Patriots is going to happen. In the NFC however I like Giants - Saints

all the love on the gmen for no reason. do you guys remember just how good the packers are...with rest? way to many weapons for gmen who dont have the cover corners or linebackers compared to the weapons gbay has

The 2 visitors winning in the NFC? I doubt that seriously. I see the Saints and Pack in the NFC and Houston and the Pats in the AFC. Very interesting game shapes up between the Ravens and Texans in that the Texans were ranked 18th in passing and Baltimore was ranked 4th against the pass. When it comes to rushing the ball this year, the Texans ranked 2nd on offense while Baltimore ranked 2nd against the rush. On the flipside, the Ravens were 19th in passing while Houston ranked a stingy 3rd against the throw. Finally when it came to rushing the football, Baltimore ranked 10th and the Texans were 4th against the rush. So based on these strong regular season rankings, this game appears to have the makings of a stellar matchup, with the under being a strong possibility imo.

Giants are a jeckl and hyde team. when they are bad they can lose to anyone but when they are on they can beat anyone.

They had 3 really impressive road wins
    @New England
    @ Philly
    @ Dallas

Packers weakness is their O-line and they will struggle to protect Rodgers. This will make the Giants secondarys job easier.

not saying Giants will win , but they are capable.

deep routes wont be an option for rodgers unless packers establish a run game.

packers will need some really short quick routes or they may have to finish the game with matt flynn. Who is also good though.

Those Giants D-linemen are some big boys and they are fast

Packers two best tackles are back from injury and healthy now.

Not to discredit the d line of the giants which can be scary, but its nothing next to the 07 d line.

rodgers has the quickest release in the league, most weapons, and escapes sacks more than anyone ive seen.

about stats regarding texans game, ive seen them get moved on plenty of times....i just dont see yates leading a victory against a verteran ravens team on the road.............
