    Emily... Been using this method for a few days now and was doing well until Dayton burned me today with a loss to Rhode Island. Should I not have bet them in the parlay because they weren't heavy enough favorites? They were a pretty heavy HOME fave, which I know is one of the criteria you said I should use. Rhode Island was winless in conference play. I thought it looked good. Thanks for any input you can offer.

    Got to be careful with those ML's under -1000. I have to like those ones a ton to put them in a parlay and make a big bet because they are not quite the locks the -3000 and up ones are.

    The only sport where parlaying huge money line favorites could possibly work long term is college basketball.

    In basketball, money lines and spreads aren't always totally correlated.

    For example, late in the NBA season where one team is fighting for playoff seeding against another team that has been eliminated, the money lines will skyrocket with the spreads remaining the same.

    A team favored by 15 or 16 will be priced around -1500 in the NBA early in the season. However, late in the season this same 15 or 16 point favorite can be priced as high as -9000.

    The same teams keep ending up in the final 4 over and over again in the NBA where you would expect more parody. In college basketball, a small untalented school will beat the major school perhaps 1 out of 1000 games.

    Since I don't have the stomach to parlay these -5000 favorites, I really can't stand betting on basketball.

    Watching the stinky, smelly players drip sweat all over the court isn't much fun either.
