I have definately wasted much much more money drinking than I have gambling - I am not talking about the normal drinking, am talking about the completely unnecessary drinks when you are already hammered

    Stock market still down.

    Housing market WAY down.

Sports gambling I'm on my first losing year in 7 years (but still haven't had to reload).

Casino gambling - I'm definitely down. But not by much, I don't gamble big amounts so one good night at the craps table can erase serveral trips worth of losses.

Poker - internet & live; I'm down no more than $250 (this depends on when you ask but I've been on a cold streak lately).

So all told, housing and stock markets (the "safe" investments) I'm out over $300K (paper losses, actual cash losses just under $73K).

For "gambling" if you add them up over the years; sports, casino and poker; I'm up for sure (thanks to sportsbetting football; moneyline parlays have been good to me except this year) but all total I'm up less than $10K over 7 years.

So the lesson here is stop putting your money into the "safe" investments and bet on sports!!!

I have won a good amount.....I have lost a good amount. All in all, I would say Im probably just about even, just down the hundreds of man hours getting there. I do have to admit this: I win on a much more consistant basis than I lose, but when I lose for a week, I tend to do it in style and just go for broke.

I'm up about $4500 playing online poker.

I'm up like $700 betting sports since I started keeping track in my spreadsheet.

I was up 1400 a few weeks ago and went on a horrible streak.

I know I'm not up a lot of money but it's sure as he'll better than being down 5k.

Would much rather bet small and win small than bet large and lose Large.

If you really want to make profit, you have to grind it out IMO.

i'm down 2K overall. It's a grind. Just can't seem to catch a break lately. I would have been up money had Ohio State not missed that extra point.

Didn't you create a thread a few days ago, saying gambling f'd up your life and you need to stop? Not trying to bust you but, is this the best place for you to hang out?

I am not 'down' life time, i am up a couple hundred, only been gambling a 2 years or so, and only been gambling every day for the last few months.
