2.) I saw his OFFICIAL myspace page, and the link includes the screen name, what are the odds. Anyone who does it as a joke would take the time out to do it to random screen names, this guy has a list and is trying to get as many votes as possible.

Suppose you are an NBA player. Needless to say, if you make your screen name public, you are going to get thousands of IMs every single time you sign on from random people wanting to say hi, wish you luck, ask for your autograph, opposing teams talking shit, etc. NBA players that do have real screen names that they are going to actually use keep them private. They also wouldn't make it so blatent; their name and number? They'd have some generic SN so people couldn't guess their IM and harass them.

As such, lets go on the assumption that this isn't a little kid punking you. What it likely IS is an NBA sanctioned screen name that they use to promote excitement about the vote and make it seem like players are out there spreading the word.
