Does Cam Newton Coming Crashing Down This Week
Carolina is favored by 3 as they take on Jacksonville at home in Charlotte. Taking Carolina looks to easy going up against the Jags that was just destroyed by the Jets. Does Newton continue to pass for massive yards and lead Carolina to it's first win of the season or does Cam struggle for the first time this season.
Cam was wearing a boot, for a turned ankle but says he will play and it's looking very possible that the Jags will start Gabbert. I think Carolina wins, but they have to stop the run.

Carolina should win but I wouldn't take -3.5.

90% of his completions are designed plays to his pro bowl caliber TEs/RB/Steve Smith that are safe throws to the sideline. There is zero decision making.
There was one series in the 3rd Q vs. GB where they came out with 3 straight pass plays where he had to face the Defense and make a decision. The first 2 were wildly incomplete, the 3rd was a pick.
Lock down the edges and TEs and get him into positions where he has to face up and make a decision, and he will throw picks all day off his back foot with pressure in his face.

If they shut down the easy throwing lanes. He probably sets the most rushing yards by a rookie QB. Hell if i had a star or stars they would all wear walking boots. Puts doubt in all that see it or hear it. JAX is terrible til they prove otherwise
This could be a trap bet.
But I believe Cam Newton will out perform MJD and Gabbert. Cam wants to win this game badly, especially at home.
Carolina Panthers is going to own the damn Jaguars. Newton is going to throw them out of the game and Jaguars will struggle to get anything off on offense and when they do Panthers will sniff those Passes out. This line is not a trap and Panthers roll by 6

if the Panthers don't win this game they may not get another chance for a win until they play the Redskins

the jaguars defense played GREAT against the jets. The jets only had 2 scoring drives the entire game yet they scored 32 points. No way Cam goes nuts unless mccown throws 4 INTS again
blaine gabbert is the qb because Luke McCown hasn't throw a td pass in over four years. so the Cam cannot read defenses argument is true for both sides because Blaine Gabbert cannot read defenses either. game is a pick em, and newton has the "it" factor.
You know what the difference from last week and this week is? He was going up against the reigning SuperBowl Champions Green Bay Packers. I think that had loads to do with him throwing those Ints. The guy arm is fine and he is accurate so far and will be more patient against a team like the Jaguars. Why? Because he knows offensively, they ain't packing anything but a 2 inch pecker.
Best play for me is Panthers 1st Half.

He threw 40% and 50 yards before the monsoon and was compltely terrible in 25 minutes of play, but the media will say "oh well his only bad game was in a monsoon"

I was talking to a buddy last night and we were trying to figure out if there was any way the Panthers would lose this game. We concluded "no."
Obviously we didn't consider they would be playing in a monsoon.
It's stopped raining now, Newton needs to relax and stop over throwing.
