    Brahmabull vs LakerBoy contest

We should create a public play contest where these two start with 20 units and post their plays/management. Then see who is where in 2 months.

I'm tired of all the know it all emo "sharps" and I know that many are tired of Brahma laying chalk. This is the ultimate contest of two very different styles.

I also know that Brahma will be up for this contest. How about you LakerBoy?

I love how everybody kept talking about how the only reason my record was so incredible in baseball was because I play a lot of huge favorites (even though my avg play is about -140 or -150)

and all I did this weekend was go 10-1 on spreads and totals in football

LakerBoi seems to be hiding. I guess he'll play the "I'm too good for this" card.

His abysmal recent posted play record says otherwise.

i dont mind doing a contest with anyone. it has to be on sbr picks. 30 days. 150 picks. nfl sides/totals. mlb ml's/totals. 1 unit per play. 150 picks must be completed within 30 days. 150 pt entry fee for each person.

My headbutting with LB is well chronicled, but no one can dismiss his capping abilities. He sees things, that some of us don't even know to look for. He has grown on me like a fungus.

I've given garbage to Brahma too, but I actually do respect some of his cappin abilities. He makes decisions based on how teams are currently playing and he doesn't try to overthink anything. If a good team plays a bad team, Brahma takes that for what its worth....he doesn't take a dog just to look Sharp or because they're due. Many guys call him a square for it, but I think you can be smart simply by not trying to be brilliant.

I'd pay attention to this, but expect LB to win it.

it's not just good team vs bad team, it's about how teams are playing at a certain time and how they matchup with each other

for example, I haven't touched the red sox or yankees in a while because they have both been playing just terrible. Today with AJ starting, if I was to make a play, I would definately play seattle

another example, I'm not playing the phillies tonight despite a phenomenal matchup because they have been playing really bad against bad teams recently (lost 3 of 4 against the marlins, lost against the nationals, etc...)

what i dont understand about guys like you is why dont you take seattle and houston then instead of saying you might? why are you so scared to take a dog?

obviously to not bet against 2 of the top 5 teams in the MLB (some say top 3). you dont have to bet every game.

    30 days - 150 picks?

Why not who ever just wins the most units period in a month - that's the only thing that matters.

the reason I don't take dogs is because every time in the past I have taken dogs, they find some absolutely gut wrenching horrible way to lose and I want to destroy every wall in my house. It's just overly frustrating for me. Bad teams are bad for a reason and they always seem to find a way to lose

in this case though, I can't take Seattle's atrocious offense to beat a guy even as bad as AJ burnett. In terms of the astros game, I can't take a guy with a 5-15 record to beat Cole Hamels

If it was AJ playing against a team with a good offense like the blue jays, I would be all over it

you just gotta be smart about it. Don't play good teams that seem to play down to their competition

the brewers for example are a GREAT team to play against bad teams...they're something like 17-4 their last 19 games against bad teams

Because the rules you laid out are ridiculously biased against Brahma's style of wagering. Not worthy of a response.

You each start with 20 units. You each post your plays for 2 months. Whoever has the most units at the end wins.

If Brahma wanted to lay 10x on the Pats ML last night more power to him. He'd be up 3 units right now. You're scared of that style of contest because you know he might very well beat you.

20 units lol. nothing ridiculous about what i laid out. stop making excuses. are you brahmas agent?

i dont have the energy to go for 2 months, i said 30 days and most of my picks would be done in 10 days so i could move on from this gimmick. brahma usually posts 3 or 4 games when he posts so nothing big about 150 picks in 30 days. its only 5 picks a day.

and once again i reiterate- only on sbr picks- where it will be tracked with no issues of editing posts.

and the style of play you are suggesting is even worse, someone can keep going all in on high juice favorites, all you need is a small streak and you will build up your balance still nice and you will win the contest

but the truth will be that at some point you will lose it all

thats why I wanted it to go longer, so that all you sharps who claim "he'll lose it ALLLL EVENTUALLY" would have time to watch him crash and burn.

Anybody who doesn't see this is bullshit and has nothing to do with how any of us gamble is retarded. We might as well grab a wiffle ball bat and play home run derby to determine the better capper - that's how relevant your rules make the conest.

It goes completely against the way that Brahma does work.

I've been on here a month and you are easily the most overrated gambler I've ever seen. I don't remember any of your high profile posted plays that have hit, and yet people still worship the ground you walk on because you "go against the grain".

Your gamblin' syle is like George W. Bush's presidentin' style. You "go with yer gut" and post yer plays with swagger.

But at the end of the day your public record (at least while I've been here) is horrendous.

what makes me laugh hard though is how I'll hit 7 plays in a row (which I did this weekend in football) and then people here will jump on me for 1 bad drive... in a game that I end up winning anyways

lakerboy can go 0-5 and nobody seems to care because they were all "supposed to lose" anyways. People here are just fukking idiots, they care more about going against the public than making smart winning picks

Not biased towards anyone, but how can you possibly say lakerboys rules are not fair? It's really stupid to have it setup so the guy who is losing starts playing kamikaze plays trying to catch up. If you can't win a contest without having to launch 50 unit hailmarys, you, you shouldnt bother because you're just not good.
