The Colts announced Monday that Peyton Manning (neck) will stop practicing and he is considered doubtful for Sunday's game against the Texans.
Panic is now justified. Manning's back is sore, his triceps is weak and his velocity on throws is not there. All this stems from neck surgery rehabilitation which has gone slower than anyone predicted. In a statement, the Colts admitted that "as of now Peyton continues to deal with a complicated neurological recovery, the end date of which is unpredictable." His consecutive games played streak will almost certainly be snapped this Sunday and previous reports that Manning could miss 4-5 games appear credible. Sep 5 - 11:32 AM
