Anyone enjoy research more than watching the actual game?

Very green to sports wagering but maybe it's just because I'm not really into baseball, so maybe once football kicks in this could change.

Also, if you wager baseball then most likely you are constantly checking scores because the games run all day. Anyone just make their bets and check to see if they won at the end of the night?

    Research? That is fuking funny.

Vegas has already done the "research" for you when they set the line.

Do you really think you are going to find something they missed?

Then how do you bet? I mean, if you don't do any research what is your betting strategy?

No watching (or checking scores) is a lot better. Some days I get really lazy to cap and do research and I bet the game only like 10 minutes before it starts.

in a game like football there are key matchups and points of weakness.... just cause a DE kills a pathetic LT one weekend doesnt mean he is gonna register 2-3 sacks a night.. but realizing that mismatch exists is crucial

    Without a doubt.

My favorite part of the day is sitting in front of a fresh set of lines (the PG version).

if youre serious about betting then you shouldnt watch the games anyway. Too many things go on during a game to make you objective going forward.

if youre just in it for the action then researching is just a waste of time as well. Not going to keep you from eventually going broke.

Guys that live and die on every pitch or every snap or every in bounds pass dont have a chance to win long term. They are too wired to the here and now to have any sort of future vision. They want instant gratification. Which isnt going to happen enough to suit them.

I bet sports for 15 years and I almost never watched the games. I used to go to a few live ones once in awhile but almost never had money on them unless someone I was with wanted to bet, then it was just for fun.

The thing is sports are pretty boring unless youre a big fan, or have money on the games. Both of which feed some mental defect in people. Degenerates that go broke or dont bet almost never ever watch a game, and 90% of the so called fans stop watching once their team stops being competitive. So the people that watch only watch for a reason. Some sense of success. Be it vicariously through their team winning or through directly winning a bet. Without that people are very disinterested.
