    I quit in January. Since that time, I have not smoked 8,240 cigarettes, which means I did not spend 432,600 colones on smokes. With the current exchange rate, that is about $865.

    Shit Im 21 and been smokin since I was 16. Trees not Tobacco tho. Now I smoke Tobacco everyday and I said I was done with it but somehow it lures me back in. SMH I need to quit these ******* Jacks or Ima die too young.

    Congrats man....My one year anniversary from quitting smoking just passed....I was smoking 2+ packs per day at a cost of over $11 per day ! So glad I was able to quit !

    alcohol destroys people, so do cigarettes.

    occasionally a gin and tonic wont hurt but 2 pints a day is overboard.

    you can do it if you want to!

    the thing that helped me last year was getting into the gym 6-7 days a week. took my mind off it, ate healthier, took up a few other activities(fishing, hiking, camping) -- really just stay busy and forget about that shit for the first few weeks of quitting, after that it's super easy believe it or not.

    keep it up. i know i got to a point where i was just honestly completely SICK of it all. i made my last pack of smokes last me a few days and i KNEW that last cigarette a year ago today would be the last. i planned it, and i executed. was sick of being unhealthy and prone to diseases and unhealthy shit that comes with tobacco use.

    the first 2 months or so is the roughest i'll say. if you can get past that initial phase you're good.
