Game is dying regardless of what many say or want to believe, at least on the mainstream post up level. Only guys who will be willing to continue to jump through hoops are smart guys making big $ or the absolute biggest degens who are just too set in offshore sports books to move on. The books that do, if any can, survive the next year will probably find that they are not making enough money to make the risk worth it. The mainstream "fish" will be out of the water. So where do all those dollars go?

Locals- Many have no clue or ability to find one, many will try to find a local but if they find a bad one and get stiffed they may move on I say maybe 10% offshore will actually find and play regularly with locals.

Vegas trips- Vegas biz should go up some but most are not betting the numbers that weekly or even monthly trips are worth. Big time/cost commitment for most.

Regional casinos- Sure they will pickup some play but still requires people to get out and travel/use more time. Also many not big fans of cards/slots.

Delaware parlay cards for NFL- Few more guys might play these that live within an hour or two.

State lottery, bingo etc.- Junkies may play this but does not give anywhere near the thrill of sportsbetting but if need a reasonable priced gambling fix may go this route although chances of winning even short term are very bad.

Legal betting online-Sports fantasy daily like Draftstreet.com and horseracing sites legal in US like twinspires, xpressbet, betptc, horseplayersbet etc... Good option for most.. get range in action from small to large. Easily get funds in and out straight from bank. Small bonuses to draw people in and rebates on horseracing. Still can sit at your computer and get nonstop action. This is where much of my money has gone for last few years (horses just dabbling at draftstreet now getting accustomed). safe and viable. Most similar to offshore betting.

Just give it up- People just give it up, pay down debts, go to movies, buy cars and clothes, go to dinners. Leave the past behind them and get on with life.

locals will make a comeback to be sure. it will not be hard to find one as they will increase ten-fold. there will be someone in every sports bar who can hook you up. no more props or fancy futures but at least you will be able to get down (on credit with limits) with someone.

Taxy I was suppose to meet with Spiro and interview him but the guy is moody and blew me off because I hammered him like 2 years ago on a forum and he holds it against me

Even though I have him in my top 3 books of all time. He is a funny guy from what I am told. It would of been a good article too but he was afraid of me I guess so told his secretary I he was busy so I then just talked to lower end people since I was there.

May put some in a week or two if no more closures and if I do will post plays again. Just not willing to take any chances right now.

Locals will make a comeback. The problem is that locals just can't offer the same service and variety of action. It's easy to find them during football season, but the small timers go away when thats over and we have nowhere to turn.

Seems like they've been cracking down on a lot of local gambling activity around here. A pretty good size local book got arrested the morning after the Mavs won the championship, he had almost $200k on him when he got busted. There have been a 3-4, 8-liner operations busted the last couple weeks and three different rooster fighting rings busted over the last month. There's always some sort of risk involved.
