    Did my ears deceive me?Jeter only Yankee to achieve 3,000 hits?

    Anyone notice that on all the ESPN type networks that they were saying Jeter was the only Yankee to achieve 3,000 hits?It has to be while being a Yankee,right?No past Yankees did it with another team?

    yup. if you get traded from team A to team B whilst sitting at 2999 hits and you get hit 3000 for team B in your first at bat with them, you are then credited with being on the new said team while getting #3000.
