The Mets Are Coming Together Against Detroit

Everyone on the team is playing well, even Jason Bay. (this is without David Wright). Jose Reyes is on fire. He can't play any better. Even his outs are hit hard.

By no means am I saying to make a future bet, but I remember the Rams and Kurt Warner cashing in at 200/1.

Currently, the Mets are 65/1 to win the NL pennant and 125/1 to win the World Series. All that I'm saying is if they play like this, they can beat anyone, including Philly.

David Wright was the weak spot for mets
    Most overrated player in baseball

Mets have been playing well for like 2 months

Their offense looks amazing right now and Reyes may get to 30 triples. Just amazing.

    Doubt it.

I wonder if they trade Wright??

Although I doubt anyone wants him, all he does is strike out

All they need to focus on is the Wild Card.

They have a good run against crap teams, and Baltimore is next, so they are getting easy wins.

Philly is what crushes the Mets value. I don't see anything in the Mets that remind me of last years SF Giants team. The recent Mets remind me of the Colorado Rockies who go on a crazy streak every year. Problem is Mets home park is a pitchers park. If anything the Brewers are this years version of last years Giants.

lol yea the braves really worry me, they just swept seattle oh noooooo. the mets cant catch philly thats impossible but a wildcard spot is obtainable. if bay keeps playing the way he has the past 4 games and beltran stays healthy we have a chance. well only get better when david wright comes back and plays without a fracture in his back (like he did for a month and sucked) and if ike can return. not to mention we get our ace back for the stretch. our bullpen is weak which scares me but lets face it atlantas line up doesnt impress me at all. reyes turner wright beltran bay davis pagan paulino is a pretty damn good line up if they all play the way theire capable of

Mets are too inconsistent to compete for the east or wild card

Mets have been playing well, but just look at the last 10 games.

    Phillies 7-3
    Braves 8-2
    Mets 7-3

Not really making up much ground.

it's always like this in football too, good teams crowding each other out of northeast spots while the west teams roll around in filth and stumble into the playoffs

    Agreed.

I picked up Justin Turner as a second baseman in a Fantasy league and he has come through in a huge way for me.
Not a lot of 2nd baseman to be had once the draft is over and the season gets going.

interleague favors the braves, they get to play the orioles next while the mets have to play the yankees again.
