this may be a simple question i dont know, but isnt it standard for a bank to have a clearing period on these babies? my credit union is 10 working days. i know of other banks and they all have them. if its not a big amount is this clearing period waved?

ya i know gonzo, one friend i have has 3 different accounts, got a nice check about a year back had waiting periods of 5 days, 10 days, and 6 weeks at his different banks.

im more or less asking if its a low amount of say 300 or 400 bucks, does the bank still hold you to the clearing period? ive never tried anything that small.

i got a great relationship with my credit union and they still made me hold the check for 10 days before they granted me the funds. only did this once since then havent used this method of cashout.
