How many books/$ does one have to have before being considered a professional gambler

Finding the best lines, paying the least amount of juice possible, middling/scalping, finding the best bonuses...How many outs/$ does it take

That does not entirely depend on how much you win or have at a specific moment in your book accounts but it depends on how fast you make a balance grow, how much you've grown within that book and what shots you take, all this if we're speaking of being considered a professional (winning) gambler. What specifically are you looking for tho, boss?

Obviously the more safe outs the better. But I don't think there is an exact number.

That's like saying how many cars does one need to be a car salesman.

Agree about the outs. As for exact numbers, generalize it without the specifics. Like roughly how many books do you need in order to feel comfortable about your position...

Add SBObet and Dafabet to make it four.

I've yet to have a need to bet a line that any of the above four didn't offer, and at a better price than the rest.

Having said that I do have about 30 accounts at various places, but only use the others for specials and goofball props which are highly un-professional type stuff.

Caveat the above with the statement that most of my betting is not on NFL/NBA/NHL/MLB so as always YMMV

To be a pro you should be doing it for a living. Line movements rarely make the difference in an outcome anyway.

Its the type of books you need

low juice, high limits and very safe

Americans do not have the luxury to have that combo therefore cannot succeed

of course jj, and arguably the list may shrink even further now that the Fed is going after everyone actively and books will be very reluctant to deal with a new payment processor following the stings.

Question. Given these restrictions if you wanted to still be a pro wouldnt it be beneficial to simply move to somewhere where the lack of restrictions make our goal of succeeding more attainable? Easier said than done i suppose though...
