Brunson and Negranu are the two best I have ever seen. Stu Ungar is like Bill Walton -- great player, but career ended too soon.

Best all around Poker Player: Phil Ivey with Gus Hansen close behind IMO
Best Cash Players: Has to be Tom Dwann and Phil Galfond
Best Tourney: Johnny Chan just because he is a legend lol, and Hate to say it but Phil Hellmuth is a terrific tourney player..weak at cash games compared to the top ones though

lol...show me a video of when negreanu did this in the exact scenario you posted

the guy just can't fold a hand (even when he knows he's beat)

The best overall player today in my opinion is Phill Galfond he doesn't get all
the media attention but believe me he will out play anybody long term. I like Durrr
also he diff has some of the biggest balls out there. Durrr challanged anyone
online to 1 million dollar heads up game winner take all . He said he would play anyone but Phill Galfond
or OMG Clay Aiken was his Full Tilt name . The guy is just a beast.

Definitely Stuey Ungar... brilliant mind. And as good as he was at poker he was even better at gin.

hellmuth wrote a really good book on poker. i cant really stand him and want to punch him in the face but he understands the game.

i forget what its called but its small and black and red.

hellmuth isn't good enough at other games besides hold em. I give the edge to the guys who were/are great at multiple games.

Exactly. Hellmuth is only 'good' at one game. MTT's are his speciality, but he hasn't adapted to the game nowadays because he plays ultra-tight still and gets pushed around easily. Not like back in the day when everyone played the nuts and 3 and 4-bets rarely happened.

Best cash game players....Ivey, Dwan, Galfond and Antonius are the top 4.

Heads up: Olivier Busquet, Ivey, Eugene Katchalov

Also, don't forget who has had the best year thus far and probably one of the greatest careers....ERIK SEIDEL.

Poker has evolved, but he still plays like it's 90s, plus he really lacks fundamentals of the game.
Can't consider a guy who makes mistakes like that:

i guess i didnt read the all-time part. stu ungar is the correct answer.
Negreanu is a bum. If he played Cates HU NL over 100k hands I would bet my mother's house with my mother in it on Cates and not lose one minute of sleep.

As for Ungar. He was a broke degenerate cokehead.
