    You need to find a new place to get your player stats.

    Spears was 3-1 on clay this season before this match. Now obviously 4-1. And she came up through qualies meaning she's familiar with the court after her 3 matches on it before today. Still a crappy result for Scheepers but it's just another reminder why qualifiers can be dangerous.

    I guess that ESPN isn't very accurate, because it stated that her record was 0-4 in singles matches for the year 2011. She was 25-19 last year, though. http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/ten...e?playerId=654

    I just checked ESPN and I can see why you had the wrong info. They don't post qualies on there and it doesn't seem like they post ITF matches either. So yeah, if you're looking at it just from what they post then it doesn't show that she won each of her qualifying matches. Obviously qualifiers don't always win the match when they get to the main draw but the fact that they have 3 days of court time to familiarise themselves - and won those matches - whereas their opponent may have arrived in the city the day before the match, will help with your capping.

    I use TennisInsight and OnCourt. Both of these charge a fee although TI's is tiny and you can buy a 2wk membership for like $5 I think which is what some people do - they just buy it for Slams. There are a lot of other aspects to the site but I don't want to get into them or I'll just sound like an advert. But basically anyone who is somewhat serious about tennis betting will most likely have an account there. OnCourt is a crazy tennis program that you download to your computer and it updates once a day. The amount of info on there is insane. When you get a chance check out their screenshot page and you'll see what I mean. I think it's about $60 for a year or $100 for life.

    As for free sites, do a search in the tennis forum and you'll come up with some good ones. To be honest I only use TI and OnCourt so I'm a bit out of date with the free stuff now.

    In terms of free sites, the official ATP and WTA sites are a good place to start. The mens site is slightly more comprehensive than the women's, but if you have a few mins to poke around and don't want to pay a fee, you could do a lot worse.
