Enough SAID!!!!! There is only 1 M.J

Kobe quit trying to emulate when in fact you are just perpetrating.

MJ would never go down 0-3, let alone get swept.

MJ would never let pussy ass Gasol have it in the 4th.

If you think Kobe is better, you never seen the G.O.A.T

Kobe you can keep chasing that sixth ring, but it is over.......you are GREAT......BUT NOT

Kobe just played two straight series, that didn't feature him as the best player. Chris Paul, and Dirk have thoroughly outplayed him.

Jordan @ 40 wore down fast. He went from having 1 pack of ice on his knees, to a whole iceberg.

So you have Kobe who is no longer the superior player, and Jordan who lacks physical endurance. I will take Ginobili at this point.

I know I am bias by being 34 and growing up in the MJ era, but nothing makes me remember my child hood like watching Michael Jordan's Playground.

I used to watch this VHS tape and 20 years later I remember every word, song and highlight in it.

I get emotional watching it to this day.

MJ and the Bulls did go down 0-3 in the playoffs and they've been swept. Check your history.

That said, Jordan was incredible. I use to have Hawk season tickets and would travel to Philly, Cleveland and Chicago a lot in those days and use to see Jordan play year after year. The most amazing thing to me was that Jordan brought it EVERY night. He never slacked off games like the guys do today. Folks came out to see him and he never disappointed. When he came to town every beautiful woman would come out the arena to get a glimpse. He was simply amazing, the likes of which we will never see again.

Rings don't mean much to me. I look at the overall player and Jordan had all the tools. He had to develop several of them, like a mid range, low post. Another thing he had that no one else had or has is his ability to finish in traffic and in the paint. He would blow past his man and when the double came he could go around that as well. Teams would try to triple and quadruple cover him and he would just split everyone and find a way to get the ball on the rim. Incredible... I really wish more people had the opportunity to have seen him play in person. The energy in the arena and the cheers, even from the opposing fans. They all knew they were witnessing greatness.

They went down before they learned to win. Once they did the only thing that stopped a eight peat was Jordans private suspension for gambling.

Kobe is great but yes he is no Jordan

Jordan was much more dominant in 4th qtr and a much better defender

Also MJ did not have the supporting cast like Kobe has had

I really think call me crazy...if Jordan at his age replaced Kobe on this laker team they would not be down 3-0. He would get more out of gasol and would score about 15 with 4 rb and 6 ast.

Jordans bulls teams would pound on these Laker teams.
The idea Jordan did it with no supporting cast is a myth.
His 2nd 3peat run he played with 2 hall of famers.
I'd swap a hard nosed Horace Grant over a soft ass Pau any day.
That being said by no means am I sticking up for Kobe, Jordan would pound on Kobe as well

Did anyone really ever think Kobe compared with MJ?

I mean some have said he was approaching MJ (he wasn't) but I don't know of anyone saying he was as good as MJ.

Anyone that has ever thought that Kobe is on the same level is an idiot. The only area that Kobe can hang with Jordan is scoring and Jordan's numbers are even better there. You could argue that Kobe is the 3rd best Laker of all time.

We can finally this crap about Kobe being better than MJ.

Jordan took his game to another level in the playoffs. Not play like shit every game.

We'll I can guarantee you, MJ is very happy to see what happened today because Kobe was the only player that was capable of being placed in the same breathe as him. This sweep tarnishes any future comparison to MJ legacy, something all radio host were trying to do last year when Kobe got his fifth ring. This looks like the end for Kobe career, and he might up playing for the Knicks to get another ring.

If Kobe never played with Shaq he wouldn't even be measured in the same breathe as Jordan but a few fools do anyway.

2001-2002 Michael Jordan was better than present day Kobe

And that's after taking 3 years off and coming back 25 pounds heavier.

So Kobe... how does Jordan's ass taste?

Kobe should never be compared to Jordan.

Jordan was athletic but was also a leader and very strong mentally. Kobe isn't in the same class.

They should just put the Lakers up for sale.

If Kobe ever wants to win a title again he should sign with the Miami Heat as a free agent.

Jordan was like 38 when he was on the wizards and the only reason he played is because he couldn't stand to see how lazy Kwame Brown and the team were. Jordan was such a terrible GM because he saw so much potential in these guys but they weren't like him. A lot of wasted talent.

Kobe will be long gone by the time he's that age. He doesn't have it mentally what Jordan had. Plus Jordan was a class act and Kobe was a rapist.
