    BBD - I assume there is some sort of extorition that along with these DDOS attacks. Any idea how much these punks ask for when they bomb a sportsbook? Are these serious criminals or kids looking for lunch money?

    Five figure sums are the norm, apparently.

    It's not just books either - looks like the main bandwidth provider for Costa Rica was attacked last week, and the DDoS defence was filtering pretty much anything from outside the US (since presumably most customers are American, but most zombie machines aren't). As a result, most of Europe couldn't access bookmaker/justbet/etc and SBR for 4 days.

    I don't know the answer to that question sir. Although I would be led to believe it's not for lunch money considering it's effecting many of books.
