After dropping 8 straight, O's have now won 2 straight and I don't see this club (lead under a coach like Buck) to give up games they should win. They need to make up ground after that terrible 8 game stretch, and at home against a depleted Twins squad, this is a great chance to continue the winning streak.
Twins missing some key guys: Morneau is out again (will be 5th straight game with flu - yes flu, fkn baseball players, Young is out again (3rd straight) flu with him as well, and Mauer is still on the 15 day DL with leg, so Twins are without 3 top players again tonight.
Pitching matchup: I'll take Guthrie over Baker anyday of the week. Baker is winless in 3 starts, 0-2 and team record of 0-3, and carries a 4.50 ERA. Baker although only 1-2 in three starts, has a respectable 3.32 ERA and in his only home start this season, held the high powered Rangers offense to only 1 earned run on 4 hits over 6 innings of work.
Give me the home O's looking to move their winning streak to 3, with the better hurler, against a depleted Twins squad. And not to mention at a price of +155.
