    Philadelphia Flyers +110 (4/20)

Obviously I am a fan of the Flyers, they have been my team since I was 8 years old.

But, what I am about to say comes from my brain and my 16 years experience with the Flyers, not my heart.

Game one each team matched up on defense. Game two each team matched up on offense. Game three we saw each team mix the offense and defensive game and the Flyers came out on top. And it was a very good game played by the Flyers, even with starting Boucher. Yes Boucher gave up a weak goal to Gerbe BUT he is a Vet and he has the mental power to keep it going in the playoffs, the guy has been around this league for over 10 years now. He knows what it takes to win.

The Flyers are the deepest team all around, offense, defense and goaltending. The Sabres are a solid team but they are not ready for a playoff run. With Derek Roy and Kaleta injured it is going to be very tough for the Sabres to beat the Flyers here on out.

Flyers make their opponents work for their wins. They play a very good defensive game causing frustration on the other team which eventually leads to a turnover and that is when the Flyers capitalize and take the lead in games. And the Sabres are FULL of turnovers and mistakes in their own zone and the neutral zone.

I have been watching the Flyers like I said my whole life practically, and when this team is confident they are a very scary team, at least in the East they are. And after that BIG win in game three, I can almost guarantee you this teams confidence is through the roof.

I have not mentioned Pronger because they are playing great without him, players like Couborn and Timmonen are coming through for them. Now if they had Pronger in the lineup the powerplay would be un-stoppable, but in good time he will return just making it even harder for the Sabres to win a game over the Flyers.

Sabres make way too many mistakes throughout the game, and I am very shocked on how many people were expecting the Sabres to advance. (I think it was to sell tickets, because of the new ownership, and that whole hockey day in America stuff that went on earlier in the season). Mistakes will only lead to a first round exit in the NHL playoffs.

Flyers +110 (is the bet of the day in hockey)

Game 2 philly pp was 1 for 8 or 9 on the pp...pronger would not make the philly pp unstoppable....buffalo's PK is very good, and has been almost shut down for the last while now...just sayin'...

I was one who thought buffalo would advance...they had the best record in the eastern conf since jan 1...while philly was losing to team's like the Isles.....Buffalo was my pick if 2 things happened :

1)Buffalo could stand up to the physicality on the flyers

2)They flyers didn't "flipthe switch" now that's it's playoffs....It's obvious on paper they are a much better and talented team....But buffalo is well coached, and gives 100%

The Sabres were able to stand up to the flyers physical play, but Philly "flipped the switch"....Buffalo may win another game in the series....But Philly will take the series in 5 to 6 games

Agree that Philly has better offense, but disagree about the goaltending...Buffalo more solid there w/ Miller & Enroth...not that it matters, philly still takes series

I'm a sabres fan, & I agree. Flyers are superior team with their sound defense & offensive talent.

Sabres weakness is their average defenseman, & that bit them last game.

The sabres were fortunate to win game 1, & I think Flyers in 5 games, which of course, means a win tonight.

flyers looked like the elite team in the league for the first 60 games, i think they are going to get that form back, so much depth, carter giroux, van remiesdyk, richards, no one can match the offensive talent including van city

I like the Flyers. Miller has to be just outstanding for Buffalo to win.

Flyers are the better team, but if Buffalo is going to win another game...it's probably this one. g/l to all!

Winning in the playoffs comes down to defensive play and goaltending... Sabres give away to many pucks and their defense is still to young for a veteran Flyers team. However, Miller is an elite goalie but I think the Flyers get enough to win this series in 6. and this is coming from my 16 years experience with the Flyers, not my heart.... Just Kidding!!!

Um what? He would make the PP un-stoppable. He quarterbacks the PP which makes it effective, against any team with a good PK. If he gets back into the lineup in this series, you will see what I am talking about

Ok. I guess that;s why I picked TWO bets in TWO different Flyers vs Sabres game and they both WON. Goo look at my playoff picks thread.

actually here is the link, make it easy for ya since you obviously can't comprehend simplicity.

Yeh and? If they had him in the lineup, he would help this team win and MAYBE advance...But it's not happening. Sabres are finished, face reality.

The Sabres only have Miller, for the playoffs. I agree Enroth is good, but he cannot be tossed into a playoff game against a team like Philly. He would get ripped apart. The one game he faced the Flyers this season he let up 3 soft goals to them.

The Flyers have Boucher, and Leighton who have playoff experience, and stanley cup experience...And don't say Leighton didn't play all season, he has just in the AHL. But when he was tossed into the Flyers lineup last season from being on waivers, he played outta his mind stopping almost everything that came his way in the regular season and the playoffs.

Flyers do not have better goaltending, and they aren't as scrappy as the Buffalo team. Defense, physicality, and goaltending wins the playoffs and I'm sorry but 2 out of 3 possibly 3 out of 3 belong to Buffalo. Miller and Enroth have been proven they can play in huge games, Buffalo is outhitting, and playing bigger than Philly. The Flyers have a much better offense but its from players like Richards, Briere, Carter, who are incredible players but often afraid to mix it up. Gaustad has cleared Hartnell from infront of the net and thats the only way the Flyers will beat Buffalo, with traffic infront. Maybe Philly will pick it up in the next games, but I like how Buffalo is playing.

typical dumbass. the sabres were 10 pts out of a playoff spot WITH him in the lineup. he had 0 goals last year in the playoffs and this team went 26-11-4 without him to end the season. hope the sabres spoiled your night last night

LOL, Did you watch the game? They dominated the whole second half of the game, even with losing Carter who is a 30+ goal scorer and having the Refs give them no calls. They got a crappy 5 minute major call against them and still destroyed the Sabres in the 3rd period. Miller made some great saves but the Refs didn't help the Flyers either.

the officiating in that game was awful. you used to have to do something violently brutal to get a 5 minute major. in the playoffs...

Come on, are you guys kidding? Deliberate elbows with intent to knock out a player who has tormented you all game is a five minute...Not to mention the Flyers getting no calls? In game 2 Buffalo had about an entire period worth of penalties. This link right here describes Flyers perfectly.
