If you lost your job would you give gambling a try?

    For a living I mean.

Nope....but then again I'm from the mindset that it's much better to create a job than to find a job

Depends what else I had to fall back on. If I couldn't get another job as a cop and had to settle for BS security or some BS sales job, hell yeah I would. Thats only because I got backing behind me with my wife working.

The wife offered me a year trial run of gambling for a living. I've wisely said no thanks, though 6 months may be fun.

No way. I'd would update my resume and put out a bunch of applications the following day. I would also stop smoking weed until I get the next job.

Not a good time to try. Unless you were very comfortable financially, the stress of losing a job would put more pressure on you when gambling.

You can get for a while, but no way can you make BIG cash anymore with these books closing down all loop holes and having micro limits on opening numbers.

You could make money in gambling but what the odd that you will come out ahead very week with plus money? Can you afford to go on a losing streak?

Just seeing who would try it. I think their would be too much pressure to make sound bets.

nope, i've done it for 3 years straight with not working and finally had to get ar job again. the pressure is too much to win consistently, plus knowing that's your source of income makes you think, rethink triple doubt youself and your bets. i applaud the 1% of the guys that can do it and make a good living doing it.

no way I'd rather live well. I'm up somewhere between 4-6k over the last 3 years(maybe hard to believe) but true. not even close to being worth the time, energy and stress...I love sports, I don't need to bet on games to enjoy them, for the last 4 months or so been betting like 1/3 of what I did..maybe 1% of bettors can make enough to live real well for the rest keep it real cheap and a hobby.

not a chance. already happened to me a few months back. was betting every day, lost my job, kept handicapping in the morning, but couldn't bring myself to place a wager.
