    Indiana Casinos

I'm going to visit family in Indiana. Dropping the kids off then the wife and i are going to hit a casino for a couple nights. I haven't done much research but i found two in Hammond. The Horseshoe and Ameristar. The Horseshoe has a $100 buy in poker tourny every tuesday so i'm leaning towards that one. anyone got any information about these two or any suggestions for others? my family lives close to the middle of the state so southern casinos are an option too.

Horseshoe is the way to go. Newly remodeled, closest you will come to Vegas in Indiana. Nice poker room also, if that is what you are looking for.

yea but he's gonna be in the middle of the state...probably doesn't want a 2 hour drive to one. But Blue Chip is very nice, and nice area for other stuff.

I live 15-20 minutes away from all of the NW Indiana casinos. Horseshoe is by far the best especially for poker. Ameristar is ok, but their poker room is small. Ameristar is also a multiple level boat. Horseshoe was rebuilt on a barge and is brand new. There's also Majestic Star, but I do not like that boat although their poker room isn't half bad.

Wow! just checked out the blue chip. that is the way we are going, and it's 30 minutes closer than going to hammond. the rooms seem nicer and better priced. I'm thinking about splurging and getting a grand suite since we're only staying 2 week nights. checked out the spa packages too, might throw my wife a package so i can get some alone time.

    thanks a lot fellas!

Casino Aztar is an option in Evansville, remember it is illegal to gamble on land so all the "casinos" are riverboats. If your not near water your not gambling. Caesars in Elizabeth is an option too if your in the south end.
