    True Or False: Is Their Juice If You Pick Winners??

    If I can pick a high percentage of winners juice really does not come into play.

    I do not give a fuk if Yanks are -280 tonight if I know they will cover.

    One of the biggest misconceptions in sports is that you do not pay any vig with winning money line favorites. The fact is everybody pays a vig. The vig is the difference between the odds you bet and the no-vig line.

    If you are laying -200, the no-vig line is probably around -185.

    So if you are risking $200, the no-vig winnings would be 200/1.85 = 108.11

    So you are actually paying an implied vig of $8.11 by winning $100

    of course you pay vig whether you win or lose.. here's a very easy example.

    You want to bet fav -200.. and you want to only lose 100..

    If you win, you win 50$..

    And if line is -220 and you still win, for the same 100 risk, you win ONLY 45$.. so basically, even though the fav still won, you cost yourself 5$.

    Let's say the line is -200/+175 and you risk 100 to win 175. If you lose, you have the illusion of paying no vig, but in actuality, if the no vig line is 185, you should have been laying 175/1.85 = 94.59 to win that 175 for an implied vig of $5.41
