Andy, you probably are a believer in the trickle down effect, and that everyone will flourish if we just give more tax breaks to the top 1%. Clueless is right
The top 1% pay a 36% tax on their income while the bottom 50% pay either no tax at all or pay a 10% tax on a tiny portion of their income. IN addition, the bottom 50% use way more by way of government services than the top 1% do.

Even knowing all of this, you still refer to the extension of the Bush tax cuts as a "tax break" to the top 1%?

Why is it the responsibility of the rich to make sure that "everyone else flourishes"?

IN the U.S., every single person has the chance to succeed with our president Barack Obama being a great example. He grew up in a poor neighborhood and had next to nothing by way of luxury. With hard work, determination and a little luck, he has become the most powerful man in the world.

In the vast majority of socialist countries, Barack Obama would NEVER have been given the chance to become what he has become and I don't want my country going down the socialist road.

Profane, I know how easy it is to say just stick it to the rich and maybe I'll benefit somehow from it. However, in the end, taxing the rich too heavily will not benefit this country. Obviously, you feel differently which is certainly your right.
