RonPaul and I were both there this weekend for concerts - not the Route 91.

We had just gone up to our room at MGM at 10pm getting ready to go back out. Our room had direct view of MB and could hear the festival and see about half of the stage and the video screen on the right side, from a distance. I was sitting at the window looking out that way when I heard the shots. I knew it was either fireworks or gunfire. When I heard it a second time I knew it was gunfire and then saw an endless stream of police and ambulances going in same direction. Then saw a group of people frantically running across street toward MGM. I only recall hearing two bursts so maybe I missed the beginning or went down before it was over.

When we went down we saw a lot of people coming in from the festival that were pretty much collapsing and crying and frantic, some with blood. Just pure terror. Because we're both geniuses we headed out across toward NYNY and saw the emergency tents and police activity. Headed over bridge towards Excalibur. Then people started running out from NYNY saying there was a shooting there. More frantic people everywhere. So we headed into Excalibur. Maybe a bad idea. We were there for the next 6 hours or so. Shortly after entering we got caught in a panic with people running for cover like there was a shooter. People hiding under the bars, huddled everywhere. Went outside, told to come back in. Mayhem for awhile. There were rumors that there were other shooters and a car bomb. As we sit in casino waiting, twice full swat teams came through demanding hands up. We weren't allowed to leave toward MGM until after 4:30am.

At Excalibur we also talked to a guy who had blood on him who said he was there, saw people shot, helped them...he swore that there were multiple shooters including on the ground. I asked him though if he saw a shooter on the ground and he said no. I can understand his perspective, but not sure I'd trust it.
