Anyway. the average distance between rows at a basketball arena is 3.2 feet and the throw travels 41.333 rows. The throw lands at a higher elevation than it started but at the point of impact it is on a steep decline so we will add 2.45 yards. Therefore:

(41.333 * 3.2) / 3 + 2.45 = 46.54 yards

To go further, it is well known that one can throw a tightly balled up t shirt 22% further than a regulation football so:

46.54 / 1.22 = 38.15 yards
