USA did not need TPP, Australia and Canada desperately needed the TPP because of future expectations. TPP was not good for the USA. No trade deal is going to stop China so don't buy that bs.

If you want compete you should be more focused on why your cities constantly rank the most expensive places to live in the world. If you had a larger population you'd really see how socialism doesn't work. Plus, very lucky with the natural resources on the west side of Australia. Have fun playing socialism while it last. You're lucky you don't have a Mexico below you.
This attitude is why selfish voters like yourself will never drive America to be greater than it is now.

We are both rich countries. Australians see our expensive property, high prices and average quality of living as proud standard bearers that we are among the best places to live in the world.

We are happy to see minimum wage over $18/hr and pay high taxes to ensure not one single person has to sleep outdoors or go hungry or think twice about getting proper medical care and medication any time they need it.

If I have one criticism of the American culture is that you are a bunch of cheap skates who cry if gas goes over $3/gallon and bitch about any money spent on anyone but you from taxes.

You're the richest country in the world and act like the stingiest people of all toward your own population.

If you look at the microcosm of Australia without throwing in your silly socialist nitwit thoughts you might see that high costs, high wages and high spending from all levels of the community can be a good thing in rich low inflation country. Like America is too really... just that you guys don't like sharing it around for everyones benefit.
