Rudy and I have disagreed in the past, but his point is solid here. To make that leaderboard, some combination of playing frequently and well is needed. The people on it currently demonstrates that some amount of skill is required, but that the current structure emphasizes participation strongly, and playing every day is more important than playing well.
Under a normal payout structure, the leaderboard would be a bit more balanced...but as it is, it's a highly visible symptom of the participation award payouts. I probably shouldn't say symptom, as only a few of us consider it a problem
That would certainly be nice! Don't now how difficult it would be to implement, but might drive some more cash game activity.
