2014 MLB Power Rankings:

  1. Dodgers – as long as they stay healthy, they are the best team ON PAPER.

  2. Nationals- Bryce Harper should have a great year, strong pitching staff, and solid all around.

  3. Tigers- would have had them before Nats if they held Fielder to protect Cabrera.

  4. Cardinals- made some changes but improved at SS with Peralta, also no better leader then Molina behind the plate.

  5. Rays- loss Rodney but added Balfour, expecting a very similar team as last year.

  6. Red Sox- coming off a world series, moving onto some younger guys. Interested in how they hold up.

  7. Rangers- added Fielder should hit well for them, but lost some key guys.

  8. Reds- didn’t make a splash and loss some guys, hopefully young guys step it up for them.

  9. Pirates- lost Burnett and didn’t make much moves don’t see them being the same team this year.

  10. Angels- high expectations last year let everyone down. Don’t see Pujols not producing again, Hamilton as well.

  11. Yankees- lots of big moves to get a lot of injury prone guys. If they stay healthy could make it a battle in the east with the sox and rays.

  12. Giants- added Hudson to that staff, also added some offense with Morse thinking they play well this year.

  13. Baltimore- another great AL east team, playing in a tough division going to make it hard to get enough wins.

  14. Athletics- Parker went down and they fall in the rankings because of it. Love the team, scrappy can’t knock a team like that.

  15. Braves- the loss of Hudson and McCann will hit home for the Braves, could surprise me and be a really good squad.

  16. Indians- not going to repeat the same 92 win season, well coached will be middle of the pack.

  17. Royals- shocked people last year, a solid team.

  18. Blue Jays- let down year last year, playing in a tough division won’t help a struggling team.

  19. Padres- tough team to read, Johnson needs to come back strong for them, worried about his early season injury.

  20. Brewers- added Garza will help this team big time. Too bad they couldn’t hold on to Hart really would of liked to see him stay. Braun coming back with something to prove.

  21. Mariners- Cano headed to the land where ball players careers die, good luck to him. Liked the squad last year and he will help them out.

  22. Arizona- Trumbos going to help them on the offensive side, he and Goldschmidt will do well together. Also look out for Chris Owings kids going to be a great player.

  23. Rockies- Tulo won’t stay healthy but if he could this team can be solid, adding Morneau is another good bat in that already solid line up. Have my doubts about them though.

  24. Cubs- the cubs are cursed and we all know it, Rizzo will step up this year but they won’t do much with it.

  25. Marlins- coming off just 62 wins this team should have made more moves then they did.

  26. Phillies- love Dominic Brown, but the rest of the team is getting old. Burnett will be good in the 3 spot in the rotation.

  27. Mets- added Granderson and Chris Young, but losing Matt Harvey is a giant loss for this team.

  28. White Sox- 63 wins last year is a little low more than likely will get a few more this year, Abreu will add a spark to the offense.

  29. Twins- Mauer getting use to first base will help with his offense, but he and Willingham can’t produce enough runs for this team to win.

  30. Astros- Team will be better this year, still young. I will like to see where they go from here.
