what did you bet on? craps can have lowest house edge or highest house edge in casino depending on which bets you place. passline/come and dont/dontcome with full odds has less than 1% edge. with 5 odds its 0.3% house edge. Lowest house edge of any game at any casino. but if you make place bets, bet anything in center of table (crazy capper bets for fools) like hardways, horns, c+e, etc. you're making bets with huge edges. just stick to dont pass line with full odds or pass line with full odds. no house edge on odds. get TRUE payout based on probability

6 ways to make 7
5 ways to make 6/8
4 ways to make 5/9
3 ways to make 4/10
2 ways to make 3/11
1 way to make 2/12
(36 possibilities)

thats why odds on the come/pass pay 6/5 on 6,8, 3/2 on 5,9, 2/1 on 4,10.

with the dont its same but opposite. Since you're winning 6 times for every 5,4,3 time you lose, and are favorite once there is a point, you lay the odds. e.g. risk 60 to win 50, 40, 30. you're the favorite but you're laying chalk. with pass/come, its same but opposite. you get 2/1, 3/2, 6/5 on your bet because your underdog. payoffs are nice, but thats countered by fact that you are more likely to lose your bet, because 7 (6 ways to make) is more likely than getting 4,5,6,8,9,10.

hopefully you all now know how odds work in the game of craps. There is still no way to win long term because there is still house edge. However, in craps, you will lose less because of lower house edge. And with an edge that small, you're more likely to win in short run
