Kale is nasty - so bitter. Grnated, it's hard for me to find kale in Costa Rica, so I usually put in a bundle of spinach (with the stems). I actually make Joe Cross' (from his Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead documentary) Mean Green Juice, which is:

1. 4 kale leaves (I use a bundle of spinach instead)
2. 1 cucumber
3. 4 celery stalks
4. 1/2 a lemon
5. 2 apples
6. small piece of ginger

It takes a bit to get used to, but the apple and lemon helps out so much, and the ginger gives it a nice kick if you like spicy. If the taste is too bad, then add 2 peeled oranges to the juice, and then it tastes soooooooo much better.

Juicing vegetables is where it's at - they're just disgusting, so you have to mask the flavors with fruits. But defnitely juice! You'll never again need to drink coffee, and you'll feel just amazing all the time. I can't stress this enough to people. You have to just do it!
