One time I said to them "Magandang Hapon" thinking I was saying "good afternoon". They giggled at me and told me I was wishing them good Japanese (Hapon).
I guess I put the emphasis on the wrong syllable.. It's nice to learn other languages even just the basic at least you can communicate with them. I'm currently taking spanish classes because I want to connect with the locals.
