This is exactly why I think Martingaling is bullshit and anyone who uses it in sports betting needs their bloody heads examined. It's a total ego thing - your brain tricks you into thinking that although you lost your bet on the team/player the last X amount of times, you were actually right to place that bet and it will eventually pay off. It clouds people's judgement and prevents you from viewing an individual game without bias.

From Wiki: "Players using the Martingale system do not have any long-term mathematical advantage over any other betting system or even randomly placed bets"

Basically this is a strategy for suckers, those with either an unlimited bankroll or air bettors.

If you make a bet on a team and it loses, FORGET ABOUT IT. If you're looking at a game involving the same team the next day and you're still dwelling on your last loss then you SHOULD NOT make a bet on that game. You probably shouldn't be betting at all if you're still upset about a bet the next day as it means you've either bet more than you should have and aren't practising money management or you don't have the detachment needed to objectively make bets.

I'm so sorry you've lost so much money in the NBA lately Goatie, but this is Amateur Hour 101 in here. Chasers get fukked up the arse sooner or later. Yours just happened sooner than usual. Best of luck with the rest of your bets.
