NFL sources said Denver wide receiver Brandon Marshall will be suspended this week for three games for violating the league's Personal Conduct Policy, NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports.

The suspension could be dropped to two games if Marshall agrees to undergo counseling during his suspension.

Marshall is due in court in September for a trial on a drunken driving arrest from October 2007. He as been arrested three times in the past year.

Marshall can practice with team but will miss the start of the season. The third-year WR finished last season with 102 catches for 1,325 yards and seven touchdowns.
