    CFL Week 6 Discussion

Had a nice week 5 to get me back close to even thanks to a lucky Saskatchewan cover on the rouge in the final minute. Lines for week 6 are now out.

Also, I was a little surprised but 5Dimes seemed to be the first book to put out numbers. I always had them pegged as a tailing book, but to put yourself out there by yourself on CFL lines is pretty impressive.

My two best plays for the week right now are in the Hamilton/Montreal game.

Montreal destroyed Hamilton on the scoreboard in week 1, but Hamilton outplayed them in a lot of aspects. The Cats have seen their offensive production stumble since that game, but still have a great rushing attack that should expose the Montreal front. Considering how close these teams are in most statistical measures, 11 points is just too many.

I'm also on the over in this one. Not sure what I'm missing, but these are the #2 and #3 teams most likely to be involved in a high scoring game, and yet the 51.5 is by far the lowest total on the board this week.

    Early Plays:

    1.05* Hamilton +11
    1.05* Hamilton/Montreal over 51.5

I also really like Toronto over the Bombers, but I'm hoping I can grab it at -4 somewhere instead of -4.5.

    YTD: 11-12, -0.49

The Argos have dropped to -3.5 on the announcement that Milt Steagall will be back in action this week. I'm not sure whether this line will stick, and I think it's possible it drops to -3 by game-time if he's a sure thing, but I'm hitting the -3.5 now, Steagall or no Steagall.

    1.05* Toronto -3.5

I watched Hamilton closely last week vs Edmonton.

Ti-Cats were inept on Offense, I don't know the exact stats on Casey Printers but TD passes are not his strong suit with this team.

Montreal is coming off a couple of emotional losses and will likely turn it around at home vs Hamilton.

I've seen Montreal score early in every game and expect the same in this one.

I also expect the Als to score early and often in a likely blowout, I'm not a believer in Hamilton at this point in the season, they continue to take alot of penalties and make it much tougher for themselves.

I also remember seeing Hamiltons net yards in the - MINUS close to the end of the first half vs the Eskies.

11 points is alot and opens up the possibility of a back door cover, the only play I could make is on Montreal, I see 10 available at one of my books and might just play that.

Hamilton QB Printers will not play against Montreal on Thursday.

I'm going "all-in" on the Als -9.5 Thursday.

I'm on Montreal at -10. Those recent tough losses should have them more than ready for this one.

As an avid CFL fan, I'd advise betting a large amount on the Als cover. Without Printers at QB, the Ti-Cats are going to take it on the chin. Its should get ugly.

I don't get all the Montreal love. I mean, wasn't it expected all week that Printers wouldn't play? I don't see how it hurts them that much anyways compared to the production they have been getting, because Printers has been absolutely awful so far this year. Meanwhile, when teams have made an effort to run against Montreal, they've been successful, and you know the Cats are going to make an effort.

I'm not going to say Montreal's not the better team, but I can see Hamilton keeping it within a touchdown as long as they control turnovers. I'm happy sticking with my +11.

I hate taking unders, but all my indications are showing an Edmonton/BC under 54, so I'm adding half a unit.

    .55*BC under 54(-110)

I like the Bombers too, will probably put 200 on them too.

And I like the Saskatchewan Roughriders +6, cant belive they are the underdog by so much, 300 on them

Not just last week, almost EVERY week, Printers hasn't thrown a TD pass yet this season and he's their number 1 QB!

Montreal will score early AND often, I have a feeling the Tiger Cats will get blown out tonight.
    I'm betting on it.

You're aware that Durant and a number of other players are hurt?

I actually like them +6 as well, but I certainly understand why they're underdogs.

20 minutes to kickoff and the line available is -9.5 or -10 Montreal.
I have action on Montreal with both spreads. Go Als!
