    because plain and simple they are not that good ..

    they ESCAPED with many games this year that they should not have won and they also picked up 3 victories against third string quarterbacks ... got their asses handled to them by the Pats and if it werent for injuries, dont win the division

    Their getting much respect. Books have them as 10 to 11 point favorites. You should be asking yourself if the Bears can cover. Many people are just taking the Seahawks because DD spread in the NFL playoffs is enormous.

    My thoughts exactly....The ultimate respect comes from Vegas...DD points in the playoffs is a huge amount of respect.....This game will hinge on QB play....Best QB will win this game....When I cap this game I have Chic. -6....In typical Vegas fashion they will Overprice the home team...right now bout 10% more on Seattle but as the squares get their bets in I think you'll see the Sunday chasers loading up on Chic...If you like Seattle in this game hold off placing your bet until just before game....Think public will move this line late in favor of Seattle backers

    I'll give the 1st Lions game as the only thing that can be considered luck all year. But the 2nd is just another example of trying to find any way to call the Bears lucky. First, no one wanted to talk about the clear holding on a 30 yard play for the Lions. Imagine that. Second, It was a 7 yard penalty on what would have been 2nd and 2 if it wasn't called. The Bears were driving down the field with ease as it was but if they somehow don't pick up those 2 yards with 2 downs then it's a game tying field goal and the Bears ended up running out the clock in field goal range to end the game anyway. When you have to point to a 7 yard penalty that likely had no impact on the game to call a team lucky then you're just reaching.

    I don't love the Seahawks, but no way I could lay double-digits with the Bears either.

    First, the Bears were never favored by more then -6.5 in any game the entire regular season, and yet they are now -10 in the playoffs?

    Second, the Bears won ONE home game by at least 10 points all season.

    And third, quarterbacks making their first ever playoff start are 1-10 ATS as home favorites.
