I know teasers are bad and one should never bet a teaser. But when it comes to NFL and NBA, there are a lot of teasers that look very good. However, i consider 2 team teasers horrible. In football 2 team teasers gives you 6 points. In basketball, they give you 4 or 4.5 points. Am i wrong to say that betting 2 team teasers is a terrible idea? I think basketball is the worst sports you can do a teaser in and NFL is the better option because lines are sharp.

I have looked at the teaser charts but does anyone agree with me 4 team teasers are the best if one was to bet a teaser? Of course i'm assuming any teaser you play from 2 team to 4 team pays are somewhere between -120 and +100. But i would feel much comfortable playing NFL 4 games 13 point teaser as oppose to a 2 team 6 point teaser. 10 Point 3 Team Teasers are great as well and i believe this is the 2nd best option. Anymore than 4 team teasers in the NFL is just asking for too much trouble.

What about the NBA? I think 4.5 point 2 team teasers are pretty useless. And i feel lot more comfortable with a 3 team 8 point teaser or 4 team 10 point teaser in the nba than a 2 teamer.

And for this playoff weekend, i think 2 team teasers look way too easy. Such as if you take Packers +8.5 and patriots -2.5.

1) It is not true that one should never bet a teaser
2) One should never tease basketball or college football
3) 2 team teasers in the NFL can be good, but 4 teamers are better (4 teamer should pay +300, 2 teamer -110)
4) Teasers can only be good if they cross both sides of 3 and do not cross or hit Pick 'em
5) The best teasers are teasing +2.5 up to +8.5 and -8.5 down to -2.5

Yes wrong to say. It depends on the odds and there are many 2 team teaser situations with value over the season.

Depends on odds offered these are not standard. If two teams is at +100 and 4 at team +300, then I'd disagree. (actually now reading your next sentence I see you're talking about monster/sweetheart teasers) in that case most times for sure 2 teams will be better.

You need to read up on teasers and learn the basic math behind them. 4 team 13 point teaser at -110 you need each leg to win more than 85% of the time to break even. This is like a 4 team parlay with each team -570. Finding 4 teams in a week that increase win percentage enough to make this a good play will be impossible to find.

I think two team teasers are best, actually. Obviously you only get 6 or 7 points vs. 10 or 13 with 3 and 4 team teasers, but you ALSO only have two outcomes that you need to feel really good about. That's better than having four outcomes that you feel really REALLY good about - I think.

What are everyone's "most confident" 6 point teaser outcomes this weekend? Is Pats -2.5 the strongest, or maybe GB +9? I think it'd be useful to see an ORDER of teaser outcome strength so others can weigh your opinion when constructing the best two team teaser.

I don't understand why some people say not to pass 0 on a teaser. Last week i had Indy +4.5 and Balt +4.5 and passed o on both of them and that teaser won easy. All i'm doing this week is turning two home team favorites into home team underdogs.

Because you are losing a full point of value. So you are paying for a 7-point teaser when the move from -2.5 to +4.5 is really only 6 points. This is because a line of +/-0.5 doesn't exist, so the moves from -1 to Pick and from Pick to +1 should only each be counted as 1/2 point movers.
