    49ers are a lock

The rams are to young to win on the road. Even though the 49er's qb is a heisman trophy winner from the big ten, Gore will run for 145 yards and 2 td's.

I'm on the Rams purely because Troy Smith isn't an answer to any QB question. I'm not a huge fan of the Rams on the road, though, so I agree with that point. 49ers might win, but I simply love the Rams getting decent odds and/or points.

2 things, niners are over-rated and shouldnt be a 5 point favorite to anyone with the exception of the panthers. Rams are still a under rated team.

and can i ask why you mention the heisman winning qb? troy smith sucks. he looked good against a sucky broncos team. The rams are 5th vs the pass... If anything you should mention rams rookie qb sam bradford, he has been amazing for his first year and he has basically NO WEAPONS, but he still somehow does great.

the only thing i dont like is how weird and bizzare this spread is.

49ers pick is far from a lock

I have no idea why the guy brings up the Heisman. It's literally a jinx at the NFL level now days. It's almost like they give the Heisman to the guy who was a great college player but won't be able to make it on the next level as a sort of sympathy gesture. I think this started with Doug Flutie. Sure a few legit NFL calibre players still win the Heisman, but it's more of a college award. Troy Smith's college days are long over. This is big boy football, now.

The Niners are a joke. The Rams are on their way up to good things. Probably become real contenders next year. As far as this weekend, they win by double digits.

The 49ers are coming out of the bye week and @ home. Bradford is better @ home, not away.

It's the battle of the Heisman Trophy winners:
    Troy Smith 2006
    Sam Bradford 2008

Bradford has played 3 away games and played decent in 2 of the 3. He only stunk @ Detroit.

Since this is such a small sample size, it's reasonable to imagine that he can handle himself on the road just fine.

49ers win b/c of gore... the heisman trophy winner from the big 10 sucks, but they win b/c of Gore

Rams have the 7th best rush defense in the league. I wish Gore the best of luck.

    Taking Rams here.

Should be a low-scoring affair, I like the Niners, but I can't lay points with this team... EVER!

Gore is a great player, but can he beat 8 or 9 in the box? Is Troy Smith good enough to keep the D honest?

Cowboys should give Charlie Ward a call, what with his award and all he should be able to turn that franchise around immediately

    Niners win in a blowout
Results of their games at home:
Week 2, lost to the Saints by just 3 (25-22)
Week 5, lost to the Eagles again by just 3 (27-24)
Week 6, win against the raiders (17-9)
Week 8, win against the broncos (24-16)
Losing to the Saints and Eagles by just 3 doesnt make you the worst team in the league. They are coming off a bye week and playing the division rivals. Anyone thinking the rams win outright is a RETARD

Oh rest assured they aren't the worst team in the NFL, that would be the 1-7 Carolina Panthers. God I sure wouldn't want to bet on the poor sap collection of players that lost to that craptacular team. Whoever they may be.
