HOUSTON: The square play of the week? I think so!

    Whatta' ya' think, guys?

    Here's what I've got:

67% of the public is on Houston on the spread
80% of ML $ is also going Houston's way
Line has moved from +1 to -1 - a lot of sharp $ on Jax

    Furthermore:

Jax is coming off a bye
    Hou was hammered by SD
    Hou has dropped 2 in-a-row
Jax have found new confidence in pounding Dal
Last three times Hou came to Jax, Jax won SU

As a whole, I believe Hou is largely overvalued in the public eye. Everyone remember's Foster's first game of the season, as they went on to beat the Colts. Since however, Hou has dropped games to Dal, NYG, Indy and SD. Other than the first game of the season, their only wins come from KC, Oak and Wash - all questionable teams @ this point. Jax hasn't faired much better, also sporting a 4-4 record, but they are at home, just came off a bye, won the last three here between these two teams and have Garrard, who recently came off a season-best performance (albeit against the Cowboys). I'm taking Jax here, and would be incredible surprised if they didn't come out on top.

BOL gentlemen! All responses welcomed and nothing is guaranteed.

I like Houston here and New England Patriots to cover the spread or win SU.

I like jax also Houston secondary is horrible and they are so confused where to play Cushing. Plus Jax also swept them last year. And the line was exactly the same hou -1.

I LOVE Houston in this game. Del Rio is crappy off the bye going 2-5 ATS last 7. Houston has the more balanced offense which will be HUGE in this game. Houston's last four games were against the Giants, K.C., Indy and the Colts. Three of those teams will be in the playoffs and KC is no slouch either. It's get well week for the Texans here, as the Jags are going nowhere this year IMO.

Jacksonville's pass D is just as bad though, I'm probably staying away from this one myself but I think Houston has an offensive edge and the defenses are equally bad

I agree with ya. I truly think this game could end up coming down to whichevr team commits that cructual turnover and gives the other team the field position (or the touchdown). I am sticking with my 3 teams to cover- Tampa Bay, Tenn, and KC

There's nothing worse than playing AT the colts, then coming home to play indianapolis. Yeah so im gona guess that u believe the colts will make it twice into the playoffs?

I think a lot of squares will be on the jax. They just finished putting a beating on Dallas and Houston has looked horrible lately. Jax are home. They seem to be the square bet to met.

Yes Texans lost in Jax last year because they decided to go for a half back pass even though they were winning the game and interception led to TD...

Hou+1 for 50 for me if they lose this one the season is over for the texans....

Oops!! Giants, KC, INDY and the Chargers in that order.

Like your Minny pick, riding high off the comeback with the Bears coming off an ugly win.

Seems like public is all over JAX. -120. Houston is +100(The Greek). I figured that the squares would be on JAX because of the recent past. Everybody watches Dallas games and seen Jax put the beatdown. I like houston.

I like the Jags here, it's better to handicap by one on one Matchups, never by 32 team Power Rankings.

Did you even watch that Monday Night Football last season when Farve with the Vikings played @ Cutler with the Bears?

I wouldn't say Minnesota will dominate. Farve always wear earplugs when he play away games, crowd noise has an effect on him.

If a team with a lame duck coach, physically destroyed and way past his prime quarterback, best receiver has migraine problems, and horrible special teams is your best play that is not good for your long term outlook.

Jax seems like the laziest team in NFL from the coach all the way down to the water boy. Given an opportunity they roll over every time. Beating the cowgirls is by no means a measuring stick for greatness! Houston really needs this game on the other hand and they do have a decent offense, I think they'll put up some points in this one.

I like Houston in this matchup. In fact, here's a pleaser I just booked for shits and giggles:

    HOUSTON -4½,TENNESSEE -7,TAMPA BAY -13
    $25 pays $425.

I'm not sure why we should like Jax. They haven't really proven much except they can beat on slumping teams. Is HOU slumping?
