Don't see it happening. I wish it would but I doubt it. Shefter even said it was just an idea that he thought could work for both sides, not that he thought it would happen. I really hope we can get rid of Mankins before the deadline but chances are he stays and reports week 10.
I highly doubt this could happen. I can't see Harris fitting into a form of the 3-4 and being happy. He's too lazy at the point most plays and other plays he's trying to sack the passer, giving up gap control. Mankins has been close to signing with the Patriots, but apparently not close enough.
It's a smart move for Chicago and a really risky one for NE. Frankly, the Bears need any line help they can get. They're terrible right now.
Not going to happen. Pats want a 1st round pick for him. A 4th and Harris' bad contract is not a good deal. Best guess is Mankins reports to NE by week 10. Pats could franchise or transisition him and then either work out a long term deal or trade him in offseason. The guy is a hell of a player.
