    Titans VS Jags ?

I really liked this write Up , although after reading it , not sure why his pick was not Titans

The AFC South has become a breeding ground for 3-2 records as all four teams enter week six of the season with identical records. The Tennessee Titans will hit the road in this game with first place in the division on the line against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Many critics question whether or not the Jaguars can keep up with the rest of the division and this game will be a nice test for them.

The Tennessee Titans are coming off of a big rode win against the Dallas Cowboys in which they battled back and forth for an eventual victory. The Titans played exceptionally well on offense moving the ball almost at will. In the fourth quarter running back Chris Johnson pounded home two touchdown runs which would be the difference in the game. Vince Young passed for 173 yards on 12 completions and added two touchdown tosses. Chris Johnson tore up the field for 131 yards on only 19 carries. Wideout Kenny Britt stepped up in the absence of Justin Gage to catch four balls for 86 yards and a score. While the defense has been so strong for the Titans this season they still gave up upwards of 500 yards against Dallas last week, but in the end they were able to get the a stop to win the game. This Tennessee defensive line is controlling opponents running games as well as getting plenty of pressure on opposing quarterbacks. Tennessee is 2-0 on the road this season with wins over tough teams in the Cowboys and the Giants. Both of those games saw the Titans defense being dominate on plenty of downs and they look to continue that dominance against the Jaguars. The Titans defense is better than the Jaguars offensive line and should get plenty of shots at Jacksonville's backfield. Slowing down Jacksonville's run game will be the primary goal for the Titans and with the way they have been playing it should be accomplished. The Titans offense will have a physical matchup in this game, but with Chris Johnson in their backfield they should be able to exploit some gaps and break big plays all night.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have started out with a solid record, but can they keep it up is the question everyone would like to know. The Jaguars are coming off of a good win on the road against the Bills. Even though the Bills are not a top team in this league they took an early lead on Jacksonville that looked like it was getting ugly until Jacksonville woke up the offense and came back for a 36-26 win. Quarterback David Garrard led the team with 16 of 20 passing for only 178 yards, but he tallied three touchdown passes on the day. Running back Maurice Jones-Drew led the ground game with 84 yards on 19 carries while Marcedes Lewis and Mike Thomas each caught four passes for 54 and 51 yards each. Lewis has become a top target of Garrard this season as he added another two touchdown catches against Buffalo. While the offense has been scoring for the Jaguars, their defense has managed to allow at least 26 points to their last four opponents. The Jaguars defense might be a physical one, but they have definitely not been intimidating to their opponents as they have not been able to stop very much all season long. Against the Titans, the defense will need to sure up in a hurry. The defensive line will need to step up and slow down the running game of the Titans and force the receiving game for Tennessee to make plays. If the Jaguars can slow down the rush for the Titans they may be able to come out on top in this one, but it is easier said than done with Chris Johnson charging at the teeth of your defense. Jacksonville's offense will need to do more than 175 yards passing and 85 yards rushing like they managed last week from their top stat producers in this game as well since the Titans defense is extremely tough and physical and has been tearing opponents down one by one.

Most divisional games are usually close games, especially in divisional rivalries. Monday night football is usually an exciting game no matter who is playing and I expect this game to be nothing less than that as both teams can play defense. The running games are both solid so I expect this one to be all about time of possession and getting first downs.

    JD's Pick: Under 45
