Anyone have any ideas on the Bengals and 49ers? New to the program here. Thanks

as a niner fan hate to bet against my team, but with no offense for the ninners the hcap mark of 8.5 is too big to oppose, back the ninners and hope they can run the ball

The number is too high for the Bengals to cover on the road. They couldn't cover 9 1/2 at home vs. the Rams with Brock Berlin at qb so I can't see them covering 9 as a road favorite vs. SF either.

I'll probably try to tease the Bengals to -2.5 and go from there. I think the line is pretty fair, though I lean 49ers.

Anytime I see dregs vs. dregs, it's either bet the dog or pass. The fact that dregs A are favored on the road by more than a touchdown here though may force me to bet the Niners while squeezing my nose tightly.

Cincinnati doesn't have a offense. They were 10 point favorites over STL last week and didn't cover it. I believe if SF can put up ANY points, SF plus the points is a good bet.

Definitely a situation where I'd take the points with the dog, then tease the favorite hoping to scoop a middle through the 3 & 7.

I have done real well this season fading the Bengals. I already played SF +8.5 the other day for a few units.

This will be a Cinci blowout. Houshmanzedah, Johnson and Henry will run wild in beautiful Cali weather. Did I mention is homecoming for Palmer?

Both teams were expected to have breakout seasons before the season started. Another example is Chicago. They have been on plenty of times and look how their seasons going.

frisco is starting hill, he's the best qb on their roster and making his first nfl start, bungals d is terrible and offense having a little bit of a down year...niners and the pts all day.

    *shakes head*

Cinci's offense is top ten in the league. Their defense is the one that leaves something to be desired.

BTW, Cinci is a fine team. They're a 8-8, 9-7ish team who's been handicapped by a bitch of a schedule, not only strength-wise, but also who they've had to play home and away. It's just a lot of points to be giving on the road.

He better have one because he and TJ Housh are on my fantasy team and this week is playoff week.

Cincy should blow out San Fran but Cincy has be inconsistent on offense all year not being able to finish drives with touch downs but field goals and turnover prone. I think San Fran's defense can keep it close. The wild card is the QB for San Fran. He can’t do any worse than Difler and Smith. Maybe Hill provides a spark.

Lousy 49ers huge home dogs to Bengals
    - How bad are the 49ers? So bad that in the eyes of oddsmakers they are 9-point underdogs at home to a lousy Cincinnati team. San Fran has won eight of the past 10 meetings, but the Bengals have dominated ATS, going 5-0-1 against the number.

Oddsmakers currently have the Bengals listed as 9½-point favorites versus the 49ers, while the game's total is sitting at 43.

The Bengals defeated St. Louis 19-10 as a 10-point favorite in Week 14. The combined score fell UNDER the posted over/under total (45.5).

Rudi Johnson rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries for Cincinnati, while Carson Palmer completed 21-of-29 passes for 189 yards with two interceptions

The 49ers lost to Minnesota 27-7 as an 8.5-point underdog in Week 14. The combined score fell UNDER the posted over/under total (39).

Trent Dilfer completed 7-of-9 passes for 45 yards with an interception for San Francisco, while Frank Gore rushed for 68 yards on 16 carries.

    Current streak:
San Francisco has lost 2 straight games.

    Team records:
    Cincinnati: 5-8 SU, 4-8-1 ATS
San Francisco: 3-10 SU, 3-9-1 ATS

    Cincinnati most recently:
When playing in December are 5-5
When playing on grass are 4-6
    After outgaining opponent are 4-6
When playing outside the division are 3-7

    San Francisco most recently:
When playing in December are 3-7
When playing on grass are 3-7
    After outgaining opponent are 3-7
When playing outside the division are 1-9

    A few trends to consider:
Cincinnati is 5-0-1 ATS in its last 6 games when playing San Francisco
The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Cincinnati's last 5 games
Cincinnati is 5-11 SU in its last 16 games
Cincinnati is 3-8-1 ATS in its last 12 games
The total has gone UNDER in 5 of San Francisco's last 6 games at home
San Francisco is 8-2 SU in its last 10 games when playing Cincinnati
The total has gone UNDER in 4 of San Francisco's last 6 games
San Francisco is 1-6-1 ATS in its last 8 games at home
