POLL: 16-0 is more important than winning the superbowl?

I think so, the Pats have to go for immortality, 16-0 and not rest their starters. What do you think?

I think they want both to be honest with you. They want to join the Dolphins in that category from what Shula has said gave them motivation.

They play the game to win championships. Regular season record means nothing when the playoffs start.

If they go 16-0 and lose in the playoffs they will be known as chokers, not something Belichick wants on his resume. I think in the back of Belichick's mind he is thinking about his legacy and Super Bowl wins is what will define ones legacy the most.

    Let me explain my logic:

A team wins the super bowl every year.

Only one team has had a perfect NFL season.

16-0 will be remembered more than ANY super bowl victory, imho.

It's not a perfect season unless they win the SuperBowl.

They can't even take a shot at a perfect season unless they get to 16-0, the 16-0 will be remembered more than any one super bowl victory, imho.

Now that I think about it, you're actually right.

well the 19-0 part is just a formality now.
Is it to early to start talking about 38-0?

I was one of the few that voted yes. Its an incredible feat in the NFL to go undefeated over a 16 game season! Winning the superbowl is great but its still just one game. Right?

Actually, in the 30s the Bears finished the regular season perfect and lost the title game. They are not remembered so much for the undefeated regular season.

I vote for super bowl. As good as 16-0 is, if they do it and lose in the playoffs, they will be looked at as not able to finish and the 16-0 will be tarnished.

It's all about the rings baby. 16-0 is a great thing for the media to hype, but i'll take a crummy 9-7 regular season with an upset super bowl win over a 16-0 season with an upset playoff loss any day.

    16-0 means nothing. . . ONLY 19-0!
