This guy just doesn't get the credit he truly deserves. Fisher is probably one of the best if not one of the best coaches out there today bar none.

Fisher, Titans reportedly agree on deal through 2011 season

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Jeff Fisher will be with the Tennessee Titans for four additional years, according to a report in Monday's Tennessean.

Citing unidentified sources, the newspaper reported that Fisher and the Titans have agreed to an extension through 2011 and would pay him between $5.5 million to $6 million per season.

A team official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the formal announcement had been planned for Monday afternoon, confirmed to The Associated Press the agreement will add four years to Fisher's contract.

Fisher is being paid $5.4 million this season. The team exercised a one-year option to keep him for the 2007 campaign.

Fisher is 111-98 in 13 seasons with the Titans. He is the longest-tenured coach in the NFL, having coached his 200th regular-season game on Sunday in a 22-20 loss to Indianapolis.

The Tennessean said that Fisher, Titans owner Bud Adams and other team officials could not be reached for comment.
