Too early to call anything, but since you asked
Season win totals:
Bears u6.5 <- no Hicks, no Mack, no hope. I have them at 3-5 wins right now.
Jaguars u6.5 <- also have them in the 3-5 win range.
Steelers u7.5 <- this will be a popular over given Tomlin's track record, but I don't see Trubisky/Pickett winning 8 games. I have them at 5 or 6 wins.
And that's all my totals for now! I don't like NFL season overs because injuries (or covid the last 2 years) can completely screw you in that department.
Week 1:
Bills PK at Rams - I don't get why people are ignoring all the players the Rams lost, while Buffalo got better adding Von Miller
from LA! The Bills are my early favorite to win the Super Bowl.
Patriots +3 at Dolphins - A rookie head coach of an over-hyped team against Bill Belichick with a whole Summer to prep. How do you think this one plays out? This has already moved to 2.5 in some places.
49ers -6.5 at Bears - Fading another rookie coach, this time of an awful team. This line will probably move to 7+ by week 1.
Seahawks +4 vs Broncos - This is such a massive trap game. MNF
, Wilson returning to Seattle
, new head coach
, public almost assuredly POUNDING the road favorite
. I like it even more if the line gets pushed up to 6+ by September.
Lean:
Falcons +5 vs Saints - I won't be betting this one because the Falcons are a bottom 5 team, but the Saints aren't much better and again have a new coach.
Texans +8 vs Colts - Who are the Colts to lay 8 points on the road to anyone in week 1? Alas, the Texans are also "poison" until proven otherwise.
Lions +4.5 vs Eagles - The Lions were competitive in all of their games east of the Mississippi after their bye. They could win this one, but I can't trust them yet.
Really hoping I don't bet any of these three games, as you don't make money betting on trash teams!
