This week's Too Good to Be True (TGTBT): Bears +1 1/2 over the Vikings

At first glance the Vikings should have no problem against the Bears since the Vikes are in a tight playoff race. Or are they?

Their position is set in the NFC Wild Card game so there is no reason for them to stress this game. In fact, I'm thinking some players may be sitting out.

One of the odd things here is that the line opened at 3 at Betonline and quickly went up to 7 only to crash down to its current line of 1. What would cause such a big line change?

Too good to be true. Take the Bears +1 1/2.

Who is the Vikings backup qb, Sean Mannion? Are we sure he is a downgrade from Trubisky?

Normally I would agree for sure but Bears have given up on the season so not sure what to expect from them. The defense may just fold and play to not get hurt.

To be honest that was my concern as well and that seemed to be true last week against the Chiefs. However, prior to losing to the Chiefs they won 4 out of 5 before losing a game against Green Bay by a TD.

The biggest thing I can think in this regard is that it is a rivalry game. The Bears are out of the playoffs and the Vikings are playing weak because they have the Wild Card wrapped up. Why wouldn't the Bears take a chance to beat up their rivals and get a good win?

I can't either. I've been checking the injury reports for players sitting out but haven't seen any listed yet. I guess it's too early to announce that.

That was my first thought. What other player being out would make such a difference? I can't imagine any other player making this much of a difference.

Sean Mannion is the backup QB.

Bears have owned the Vikings recently including knocking them out of playoffs last year in a meaningless game to the Bears last game of season.

You'd think with any pride the Vikings show up in revenge to that game and win but I guess with playoffs guaranteed who knows.

    This week impossible to cap.

Great info. I'll bet the Bears are looking to beat the Vikings in the Vikes' own house.

They are starting Mannion. Also Cook, Matteson, Kendricks all out.

    Thanks for the update.

SBR consensus still has Minnesota at 75% in money bet.

Well if you got this early at +1 1/2 you covered. Late comers who got it at -3 didn't.
